Product Description

Governor Panel and Wiring Diagram
Electrical Performance Specifications
  • 1 Voltage Range: DC 5V - 28V.
  • 2 Rated Current: MAX 2A. To control the motor with greater current, connect the motor power line directly to the power supply, bypassing the governor.
  • 3 PWM Output Frequency: 0 - 100KHz.
  • 4 Analog Voltage Output: 0 - 5V.
  • 5 Temperature Range: Working Temperature: -10°C to 70°C | Storage Temperature: -30°C to 125°C.
  • 6 Driver Board Size: 60mm (Length) X 40mm (Width).
Wiring and Internal Functions
Governor & motor power supply positive input.
Governor & motor power supply negative input.
Positive output of the motor power supply.
Negative output of the motor power supply.
Positive/negative rotation control (high/low level output: high 5V, low 0V). Controlled by touch switch 2 (F/R). Default is high level.
Brake control (high/low level output: high 5V, low 0V). Controlled by touch switch 1 (BRA). Default is high level on power-up.
Analog voltage output (0 - 5V). Suitable for motors accepting analog voltage speed regulation.
PWM1 reverse output. Speed is inversely proportional to the duty cycle.
PWM2 forward output. Speed is proportional to the duty cycle.
Motor feedback signal input.
Wiring Notes:
• The output signal changes of interfaces ⑦ to ⑨ are adjusted via the potentiometer.
FG / FG*3 Setting: Add a jumper cap for 3 times FG (FG*3); remove the jumper cap for single FG. Base this configuration on actual motor feedback.
CW / CCW Setting: Determines the initial state when the direction control line is suspended. Add a jumper cap for CCW; leave off for CW.
Parameter Settings
Setting 1

Frequency Setting

Press and hold touch switch 1 before powering on. Connect power and release the button when "FEQ:20K" is displayed. Use switch 1 to decrease or switch 2 to increase. The factory default is 20KHz.

Setting 2

Number of Poles

Hold down both switch 1 and switch 2 before powering on. Connect power and release when the screen displays the number of poles. Use switch 1 to decrease or switch 2 to increase. The factory default is 1 pole.

Setting 3

Feedback Configuration

Configure using the FG/FG*3 pin. Keep the jumper cap off for a single FG feedback loop; insert the jumper cap to configure for 3 times FG feedback.

Setting 4

Initial Direction

Configure using the CW/CCW pin. Determines the direction state when control lines are suspended. Add the jumper cap for CCW; remove it for CW.

Display Mode: The main screen displays four key metrics: Input Voltage, Speed, Frequency, and Duty Cycle. The speed calculation relies on the correct configuration of both the FG/FG*3 multiplier and the motor pole settings.

Precautions

  • Power Terminals: Ensure the positive and negative power supply leads are wired strictly according to instructions. Reversed connections will damage and burn out the governor.
  • Compatibility: Use this governor only to control compatible motors containing the specified interface options.
  • Signal Voltage Limit: Do not feed more than 5V into the five control ports (⑤ through ⑨).
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can I use this governor to control a motor requiring more than 2A of current?

A: Yes, but the motor power line must be connected directly to the external power supply rather than routed through the governor, as its board-level rated current capacity is MAX 2A.

Q2: What is the default PWM output frequency and can it be adjusted?

A: The factory default setting is 20KHz. However, the governor supports an adjustable PWM frequency output range of 0 to 100KHz.

Q3: How do I change the frequency settings on the controller?

A: Press and hold touch switch 1 before power-on, turn on the power, release the switch when the screen reads "FEQ:20K", then press switch 1 to decrease or switch 2 to increase the values.

Q4: What happens if I reverse the positive and negative power supply inputs?

A: Connecting the power inputs backward will damage the governor. It is critical to confirm polarities match the installation guidelines before turning on power.

Q5: What control signals are output on the CW/CCW and BRA terminals?

A: They output high (5V) and low (0V) levels. Switch 1 controls the brake level (default high on start) and Switch 2 controls rotation direction (default high level).

Q6: How do I configure the speed display for different motors?

A: You must set the proper motor pole count (default 1) using the startup menu and apply the correct FG jumper setting (1x or 3x) to ensure the system calculates and displays the rotation speed correctly.
